BOSQUES DE LAS LOMAS, MEXICO, October 2, 2015, Laura Tapia Navarro, Former Marketing Director with Procter & Gamble, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in marketing.

A respected leader in the global marketing sector, Laura Tapia Navarro has dedicated more than two decades of her career to Procter & Gamble, a well-known consumer goods manufacturer with an international client base. Beginning as a brand manager for Vicks VapoRub and Head & Shoulders, she was quickly recognized for her leadership capabilities and promoted to positions that oversaw the entire Latin American market. As the marketing director of Procter & Gamble, she was responsible for all marketing training. Although she is now retired, Ms. Tapia Navarro remains heavily focused on empowering women and creating programs to support and educate executive women. In 2014, she became the chairperson of Comunidad Educativa Tomas Moro, an educational institution and K-12 private school located in Mexico City. She is also an advisor for Victoria147, an organization that mentors female entrepreneurs. In the coming months, she will be creating a project for executive women in Mexico City.

Ms. Tapia Navarro is recognized among her peers for her international expertise in a wide variety of areas, ranging from marketing execution to media and advertising agencies, brand building and creating new marketing models and capabilities. For the past nine years, Ms. Tapia Navarro has served as a member of the jury for the Mexican Effie Awards, which is widely regarded as being the most important advertising and effectiveness award in Mexico. She also previously served on the jury of the Global Effie Awards, in 2012 and 2013. Ms. Tapia Navarro holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Universidad Iberoamericana, and completed the International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation Program through Harvard College and Institut Privé D’enseignement Supérieur in 2013. Fully fluent in both Spanish and English, she intends to become a consultant in the coming years.
