She understands the importance of building sustainable communities, including multi-family, residential, higher education, transportation, civic and commercial projects. She has provided these services and more for nearly five decades.
Ms. Kwan attended the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a Bachelor of Arts and master’s degree in architecture. Additionally, she is licensed in the state of California and certified in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). She acts on the board of directors of the Bay Area Council and is a board member of the Workforce Investment San Francisco. She is the board director of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and a board member of Recology. Additionally, she is affiliated with Lambda Alpha, the International Women’s Forum and Women Corporate Directors. Her work has been recognized by several different organizations. Ms. Kwan has been distinguished as one of the 75 Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business from San Francisco Business Times, and has been ranked among the 100 Largest Women-Owned Businesses. She is also among the 50 Largest Minority-Owned Businesses in the Bay Area. Furthermore, she has received multiple awards for architectural design and planning.
