Ms. Shaklee worked for the social and health services industry for 20 years before retiring. Not long after she retired and moved from Washington to Colorado, she joined the Poudre Wilderness Volunteers. She has been with the organization for more than a decade and has held various positions such as treasurer. Now currently the chair elect, Ms. Shaklee can provide even more assistance for the Canyon Lakes Ranger District in managing and protecting the wilderness and backcountry areas within its jurisdiction. This position is a great fit for Ms. Shaklee, as she possesses a great strength in communicating with others, especially listening and understanding.
