After a successful career as a chief executive officer and primary shareholder of the information technology company, Heyde, AG, Ms. Dinner felt compelled to give back. She began her philanthropy work in 2000 by creating awareness and raising funds for causes that meant a great deal to her. When she was offered a role with The Dear Foundation, she took the opportunity to transcend religious and ethnic divides and make a true impact. “The grim face of poverty is the same worldwide, it’s not selective to just one group, race or religious affiliations,” Ms. Dinner says.
