North Eastham, MA, November 23, 2016, Joan Hill, Director of Artful Journeys LLC, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in her artistic endeavors.

Ms. Hill was born and raised in the apple country of the Hudson River Valley in New York; her father was a gentle, very tolerant, educated land surveyor, while her mother was an efficient business administrator and home engineer. The youngest of four children, she was encouraged to pursue anything she wanted, but also to do her best. Sometimes that was very difficult, especially succeeding three very accomplished siblings. Her biggest challenge is not having enough hours in the day to pursue all of her passions. Years ago, it was suggested to Ms. Hill that she might offer an art program, and she jumped at the chance of a lifetime. Bringing together all of her life’s passions, including the development and administration of Artful Journeys is an exhilarating process for her.

Fostering her lifelong passion for music, Ms. Hill continues to study the piano, encourages her son on the viola, and supports classical chamber groups. She has developed a penchant for collecting art, and has recently created some pottery of her own under the tutelage of her friend, Gail Turner. Her goal is to educate and enliven all five senses. She has had an eclectic career, including leatherwork, medical research and small business administration. Currently, she has a bookkeeping business for architects and other small professional firms in New England.
