Ms. Joiner has enjoyed more than 20 years in the automotive industry, working for such companies as BMW. Since 2011, she has provided her services as a customs specialist for Volkswagen. In both companies, she has seen immense growth, largely being inspired by her mentor Donnie Barnes, who taught her how to be respected in the field. Ms. Joiner credits her success in the field with understanding the complex systems involved and knowing how they work to gather the needed information.

Prior to joining Volkswagen, Ms. Joiner worked at BMW for nearly 15 years as a specialist and broker. She also holds an Associate of Arts in computer information systems from Strayer University and was licensed as a customs specialist and a licensed customs broker in 1979. While working, she earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from Strayer University. At this venture, she learned the importance of analyzing policy and managing business opportunities. These skills are imperative to her line of work. She is an honored member of The International Women’s Leadership Association, recognized for her contribution to family, career and community.
