A dedicated and trustworthy consultant, Ms. Highcove has devoted her career to helping others through vocational counseling services. She owns and operates her own consultancy business in Lutherville, Md., where she assists individuals with developmental disabilities in returning to work. Ms. Highcove is able to assess their clients’ skills and training to best determine their next steps. She offers a range of resources for individuals with long-term disabilities to help them live their best lives.

Ms. Highcove prepared well for this career through her academic background. In 1981, she earned a Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation services from Syracuse University, and went on to obtain a Master of Science in rehabilitation counseling through the same school. She became a Certified Vocational Evaluator in 1983, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor in 1987, and a Certified Case Manager in 1990. She chose her current line of work after gaining experience working with developmentally disabled children.

An active member of her community, Ms. Highcove is a board member and past president of the Chesapeake Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector. She also serves as board member of Kids’ Chance of Maryland, Inc. Her further affiliations include the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. Propelled by her continued desire to help others, Ms. Highcove intends to expand her consultancy and its services in the coming years.
