Palm Harbor, FL, June 17, 2016, Sheila Cappalo, President and Founder of the Hope for the Children Ministries, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in nonprofit organization.
With an impressive professional history dating back more than 27 years, Dr. Cappalo started her career after falling in love with the pharmaceutical field. Pharmacy opening the door for her to explore psychology, and she began working with people to help them avoid taking unnecessary medications by addressing psychological issues. Along with her career helping others in pharmacy and psychology, Dr. Cappalo has also worked with at-risk students. In her latest endeavor, she founded the Hope for the Children Ministries in 2014 with plans of helping at-risk children.
With Hope for the Children Ministries, Dr. Cappalo provides summer camp, after school programs and teen talks. She brings a wealth of wisdom to the lives of these children. Dr. Cappalo first attended the University of South Florida to earn a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and then to receive a master’s degree in behavior analysis. She continued her education at Cornerstone Christian University to earn a Ph.D. in behavioral psychology and Christian counseling. Along with the ministry, Dr. Cappalo participates in speaking engagements and is currently writing a book titled, “When Two Worlds Collide.”
