Mobile, AL, June 2, 2016, Maxine Williams, Educator and Evangelist at Mobile County Public School System, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in education.
Retired after nearly four decades of teaching, Ms. Williams still has many plans for the future. After working as a bus aide and bus driver, she earned her teaching certificate and taught second grade and other elementary levels. Largely supported by her faith in God, Ms. Williams plans on opening the B Holland Williams Academy. Her career in education has awarded her Teacher of the Month awards, Grade Level Chairperson Award, and certificates and plaques for more than 30 years of service in the school system. In addition, she is licensed as the first female preacher among the Baptists arena at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to teaching, she is an ordained pastor of Victory Faith Prophetic Church under Bennie Holland Ministries.
Ms. Williams first earned an associate degree in education and continued to obtain a bachelor’s degree in sociology and education. Her education picked up at Alabama State University where she earned a master’s degree in general elementary education. Ms. Williams also holds a doctorate from the Church of God and Christ Interdenominational University. Ms. Williams is a member of the NAACP and the National Women’s Group of America. Additionally, Ms. Williams is an author, motivational speaker and servant leader.
