From an early age, Dr. Dunning knew she wanted to be a nurse. She obtained a Ph.D. at Deakin University. In addition to her career, she is a distinguished life fellow from the Australian College of Nursing, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and the Australian Diabetes Educators Association. She has received recognition from her work with the Australian government, Who’s Who in Australia and on the Honor Roll of Victorian Women. In the years to come, she looks toward becoming a Ph.D. student supervisor.
Barwon Health is a teaching hospital that offers patients emergency and acute, mental health, primary care, aged care and rehabilitation services. Dr. Dunning has provided her services as the chair of nursing and director for the past seven years. She supports several charities, including, Diabetes Australia, IDA and the Lost Dog’s Home.
