La Quinta, CA, April 13, 2016, Kathryn B. Hull, Owner of The Piano Studio, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for her achievement, dedication and leadership in musical instruction.

Described by others as talented and inspiring, Ms. Hull has been a classical pianist and a teacher for nearly three decades. At her studio, she teaches her students to become proficient readers of music and develop good techniques in musicianship so they may themselves become excellent piano players. “Early on, most students want to jump right in and learn to plays songs without thinking twice about the basics. It’s important to build the foundation of music theory, scales and chords first,” she says, adding that she holds recitals at the studio every two months to showcase her students at every level and demonstrate their ever-improving skills through performance. Students of Ms. Hull have went on to achieve scholarships into music programs at universities and conservatories across the county. 

According to Ms. Hull, it takes education and passion to be a good teacher. She is a nationally certified teacher of music accredited by the Music Teachers National Association and she affiliates with state and local music organizations, including the California Association of Professional Music Teachers. She continues in her own professional development by taking master classes, attending annual state and national conferences and by her own experiences—Ms. Hull plays the piano herself every day. Looking ahead, she intends to continue sharing her love of music to students all over La Quinta.
