Ms. Adams has showcased her skills in management for nearly three decades, and currently utilizes them to operate her woman and minority-owned small business, Bravura Inc., that handles contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Army and the intelligence community. With valuable expertise in profit and loss management, business development and strategic operations, Ms. Adams is superbly capable in managing the day-to-day operations of the firm. She is driven to expand the company from 450 employees to 1,000. Additionally, she oversees the marketing, human resources department, contract negotiations, training curricula and working on multiple government contracts.
In 1982, Ms. Adams earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Master of Theology from Calvary Christian College in 2000. Her success is a result of her hard work and her desire to own a business. To ensure quality work, she became certified in ISO 9001:2008. When working toward a client’s goals, she ensures the company is focused on providing incomparable service and delivering results that leave the client satisfied.
In addition to her daily tasks and pledge to provide reputable service for each client, Ms. Adams maintains affiliation with several organizations that enrich her background and expertise. She serves on the subcommittee for Governor Martin O’Malley and Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown. She is also connected with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Smithsonian Institution and Base Realignment and Closure for the U.S. Department of Defense. In acknowledgment of her work, she has been honored with the Best of Bell Camp Award for Computer Support and Services, the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, the Charles County Business of the Year, the Top 100 Minority Owned Businesses in the state of Maryland, and recognized as one of the Top 500 Minority-Owned Businesses in the United States.
