East Troy, WI, March 14, 2016, Dr. Ann M. Krause-Hanson, Vice President of Strategic Marketing Innovation and Effectiveness at Waukesha County Technical College, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in education.

In her current role, Dr. Krause-Hanson oversees the college’s entire marketing department, as well as the grant department and grant writing. She calls upon her four decades of experience to help with recruiting and institutional research. In addition, she oversees the college accreditation process. As a leader and mentor in her community, she has often led by example, retraining for layoffs, hiring within the community, and has previously served as Mid-State Technical College’s vice president of academic affairs. While in this position, Dr. Krause-Hanson reported directly to the president, oversaw all programs, faculty and institutional research, and implemented workforce development strategies to coordinate admission. 

Dr. Krause-Hanson became involved in her profession through the suggestion of a college adviser. She earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and minor in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She continued at the same university to receiver a Master of Education in professional development. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she earned a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis. She currently serves as the president of the Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education, the Association for Career and Technical Association, and has previously served as president for the Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership, The Chair Academy, Waukesha Association for Career and Technical Education and the Blackhawk Association for Career and Technical Education. Philanthropically, she supports her local church, Altrusa International, and is on the board of directors of United Way Worldwide.
