In her latest position, Dr. Laudermilk bridges the gap between the academic and business communities. Creatively applying her proficiency in nutrition to EXOS, a company designed to perfect performances for athletes and military personnel. Prior to joining EXOS, she worked as a nutritionist in the women’s health industry and as an educator working for a chiropractor naturopath. She also ran her own nutritional consultation business while working towards a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences and epidemiology. Separating herself from her industry peers, Dr. Laudermilk uses her research-minded methodologies to establish EXOS as a thought leader.

Dr. Laudermilk hopes her venture into the business sector will inspire other professionals from academia to make the shift as well. As she creatively works to solve problems and handle all of the analytic reporting of the company, she has also built a niche research group. Believing information is power, she endeavors to disseminate that information more efficiently and swiftly into the hands of many people. Working in business allows her the freedom to build an integrated approach for something she is very passionate about.
