Now a successful technical writer and content developer, Dr. Kenney began her career in Web quality assurance while she was still attending school. She later accepted a technical writer position and was trained to be an instructional designer, which led to her position with Everi, formerly known as Multimedia Games, Inc. The company provides a wide array of exciting and engaging games, including cabinets, top boxes, toppers and other systems that are designed to grab the attention of patrons and keep them immersed in an experience that is entirely unique to casino gaming.

As the technical content developer with Everi, Dr. Kenney provides cross training for all employees, in addition to developing and managing the technical training content in house and for clients. Dr. Kenney is especially adept at researching an integral new technology for existing sites, believing that there is always room for improvement. In her current position, she continues to draw upon nearly a decade of experience designing and developing effective instructional programs and training literature using the ADDIE model. Additionally, she has 13 years of experience preparing and producing integrated communications, which require her to write, edit and proofread research papers, technical documents and proposals. She continues to utilize instructional design methods, along with adult learning theories and validated research to find innovative approaches to integrate technology into military medical education and training.

Prior to entering the technology sector, Dr. Kenney received a bachelor’s degree in political science, and women’s and gender studies from Eckerd College in 1995, followed by a Master of Social Science from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1998. Dr. Kenney also holds a Doctor of Education in educational technology from the University of Florida. As she moves forward with her career, she expects to transition into a director or associate dean position. A breast cancer survivor, she is actively involved with After Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD), and takes pride in mentoring young women who have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
