Previn, Heather 1509660.jpgTitle: Jewelry Professional

Location: Chevy Chase, MD United States

Chevy Chase, MD, February 24, 2016, Heather Previn has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in gemology and fashion.

Since she was a little girl, Heather Previn has held a keen interest in jewelry and fashion – and it is no surprise, given that she is the daughter of a British diplomat. Ms. Previn holds a degree in dress design from the University for the Creative Arts, and is also a graduate from the Gemological Institute of America. Although she considers herself fortunate to have worked for numerous well-known jewelry stores and companies, such as Sine Qua Non and Tiffany & Co., she takes the greatest pride in being selected to open the first Adolfo Dominguez franchise in the United States. From 2009 to 2013, she served as a partner for the store, where she focused on marketing and sales. She is also adept at working with diamonds and pearls.

In recent years, Ms. Previn enjoyed a brief reprieve from the jewelry business as she explored her interest in the travel industry. Beginning in July 2012, she served as the director of sales and marketing for MDC Travel, a full-service travel agency that strives to provide unique and authentic travel experiences to a diverse client base. Some of its travel destinations include Mexico, Guadeloupe and the Dominican Republic, to name a few. MDC Travel is based in Chevy Chase, MD, where Ms. Previn still resides.

Now, Ms. Previn is back to focusing on the jewelry business and with more energy than ever, ready to take on her next business adventure by storm. Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Previn has enjoyed having the opportunity to travel all over the world and work with high-end retailers, which has allowed her to stay abreast of changes in the fashion and jewelry industry. She is actively involved in the Gemological Institute of America Alumni Association, and was the recipient of the Best of Friendship Heights magazine award.
