Winfield, IL, February 16, 2016, Dr. Elizabeth Barber, Owner and Researcher of Barber Innovations, LLC, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in medical research.

Dr. Barber focuses on finding treatments for people suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Her impetus to discover treatments for the disease stems from a personal place, as her mother suffered from the disease for more than 12 years. During that time, Dr. Barber was in charge of her mother’s care. On behalf of her research and understanding of the disease, she has spoken at the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Chicago. She was also invited to present at the Harvard Business School Club about integrative medicine and Parkinson’s disease. 

Dr. Barber earned barrister certification in 2000, and is affiliated with the section of international law and the section of science and technology of the American Bar Association. She is also associated with the bar council of England and Wales. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Arizona, a master’s degree in biology from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Oxford University.
