Melbourne, FL, February 4, 2016, Kaye Costello, the former Senior Logistics Engineer, Contract Technical Monitor of the Space Shuttle Program, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in consulting services.

After 27 dedicated years to the Space Shuttle Program and United Space Alliance, Ms. Costello retired in 2003 and switched gears in her life to focus on the Living Beyond Breast Cancer organization. As a cancer survivor herself, she has dedicated her time to helping women for the past decade. Living Beyond Breast Cancer provides programs, services and support to people who have been impacted by breast cancer. The organization educates and provides a community respectful of each member’s situation. Ms. Costello was selected as one of 20 women to provide the kind of care she does.

Throughout Ms. Costello’s career with NASA, she worked in conjunction with the Air Force to co-author documentation during Department of Defense launches. She developed and presented hardware risk assessments to a technical management team. In addition, she provided consultations regarding disability benefits. Her position required her to have proficient communication, technical writing and negotiation skills. In 1994, she graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. She also holds a First Line Supervisory Training certification and a certificate in advanced systems engineering for waste management. She has been recognized by NASA with the Manned Flight Awareness Award.

In addition to her work with Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Ms. Costello is also an advocate for the SPCA. Given her background in aeronautics, she is affiliated with SpaceFlorida, the Space Situation Awareness from the Space Foundation, the Space Coast Technical Network and the Space Network Movement Project from the United Space Alliance Employee Portal. On top of making a difference in the lives of people dealing with breast cancer, Ms. Costello intends on educating and assisting people with disability benefits.
