Houston, Texas, January 26, 2016, Robin Olson-Lovvorn, President of Olson Emergency Nurse Consulting Inc., has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide for dedication, achievement and leadership in emergency nursing care.

Ms. Olson-Lovvorn was inspired to become a registered nurse by her grandmother, who was also a nurse. In 1991, she attended Creighton University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Ms. Olson-Lovvorn also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and natural science with a concentration in respiratory therapy, which she earned in 1990. In addition to her two degrees, she is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing. As of 2006, Ms. Olson-Lovvorn holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. She is also certified in advanced cardiac life support, basic life support and magnet coordination.

Olson Emergency Nurse Consulting Inc. offers transitional nursing leadership, emergency nursing, nursing, legal nurse consultations and magnet program coordination. In her current position, Ms. Olson-Lovvorn is responsible for managing operations, contracts, referrals and the placement of nurses in leadership roles for emergency rooms. She also oversees process improvement projects and metrics.

In 2015, Ms. Olson-Lovvorn was named an Elite American Nurse. She also earned a grant for a Web-EOC project from the Health Resource and Services Administration in Houston from 2006 to 2007, and won the Best Practice Award for Patient Satisfaction from the emergency department at the Galveston Trauma Conference in Houston in 2005. In 2004, Ms. Olson-Lovvorn was a Touchstone Award Finalist for Patient Satisfaction from the emergency department of CHRISTUS Health, and in 1992, she won the Professional Competency Award from Creighton University. She attributes her success to her passion for nursing and her desire to create excellence in all areas of her professional and personal life. Ms. Olson-Lovvorn also credits her success to Colleen Hallberg, who explained the importance of humility and balance in one’s life.
