Although Ms. Warshauer initially began her legal career in litigation, she chose to focus on arbitration and mediation after the Southern District Court began offering a program in those areas. She completed the training, and became very interested in this aspect of the law. Her practice now offers mediation and arbitration of commercial business disputes, contracts, securities, employment, real estate, partnerships, and franchise and product liability matters. Ms. Warshauer serves on the mediation panels of the federal, state and bankruptcy courts in New York and the New Jersey Superior Court, and has been involved in more than 200 matters. Some of her more notable cases were a class action involving government entities, and a software supply contract with a large investment banker. Recently, she was appointed a Sandy Voluntary Alternative Dispute Resolution Mediator. Ms. Warshauer has also served as national counsel for asbestos defendants, and was in charge of directing and coordinating more than 35 local counsels in more than 100,000 cases.

As a certified mediator through the International Mediation Institute and a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, Ms. Warshauer has ample experience teaching arbitration, mediation and ethics to others. She has also lectured and published on alternative dispute resolution, e-discovery and insurance coverage issues. Ms. Warshauer earned an LLB from Columbia Law School, where she graduated cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, where she graduated with distinction. From 2011 to 2013, she was recognized as a Super Lawyer. Ms. Warshauer won the CPR Significant Practical Achievement Award and an award of Appreciation for Dedicated Service as a Mediator for the Southern District of New York. She attributes her success to hard work, creativity and experience.
