San Antonio, TX, November 6, 2015, Roselia Labbe, General Surgeon and Deputy Chief of the Physicians Education Team for the U.S. Air Force, has been recognized by Elite Women Worldwide, for dedication, achievement and leadership in breast, cancer, and general surgery.
For almost three decades, Dr. Labbe has excelled in her roles with the U.S. Air Force. On a day-to-day basis, she works in a clinic, evaluates patients, performs surgeries, and coordinates all physician education from the time civilians enter medical school through all of their medical training.
A stellar example of skill in her field, Dr. Labbe shines due to a combination of her prior industry experiences teaching at Kessler Air Force Base, and her educational background, which includes an associate degree in electronics from The Air University, a bachelor’s degree in biology from Midwestern State University, an MD, and a residency through Wright State University. In order to maintain a connection to her field outside of her job, she affiliates herself with the Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons, and The American College of Surgeons, where she is a fellow.
During her spare time, Dr. Labbe enjoys cooking, traveling, and giving back to the community through local breast cancer organizations. In the coming years, she intends to retire and move to El Salvador, where she plans to assist in providing better medical care regarding breast cancer.
