With a passion for teaching, Dr. Blevins felt it was a natural fit for her to enter the educational field. She started her career as an elementary school teacher and eventually moved into an administration curriculum coordinator position for a middle school. In 1993, she received a Ph.D. from Auburn University. At the moment, she works as a faculty member at Roanoke Chowan Community College. Looking ahead, she intends to continue helping students succeed at the college level. She has the unique capability to stimulate a thirst for learning in her students.
