Ms. Wales has 35 years of professional experience, having recently become an assistant construction project manager of Alta Construction Management. On a daily basis, she is responsible for designing revitalization projects for existing residential units, as well as preparing proposal request documents and contracts. She also maintains certificates of substantial and final completions and manages charge orders.

Ms. Wales coordinated a volunteer effort to construct two showers and dressing rooms for the Friends of Parrie Haynes Equestrian Center, incorporating salvaged materials into the project. At Christmastime, she uses her artistic talents to create gift baskets for elderly residents of nursing homes. She also volunteers with various groups to paint and repair residences for the elderly. The highlights of her career were working with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to revitalize substandard, low-income and occupied housing, and working on military housing projects.
